EARTH & WHEAT GO BANANAS OVER PUKPIP PARTNERSHIP IN PUSH TO CONNECT WITH SUSTAINABLE BRANDS

Earth & Wheat is teaming up with Pukpip, the innovative frozen snack brand, to offer an exciting giveaway featuring Real Frozen Bananas dipped in Milk, Dark, and White Chocolate. This partnership, starting this month, highlights both brands’ commitment to sustainability. Pukpip upcycles bananas that don’t meet export standards into delicious frozen snacks, while Earth & Wheat rescues ‘wonky’ baked goods and produce to prevent food waste. With plans for more collaborations in 2024, this union aims to support eco-friendly practices and offer customers more sustainable choices.

Earth & Wheat has partnered with frozen snack brand Pukpip as it makes a push to connect with more sustainable retailers.


We are including Real Frozen Bananas Dipped in Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate from this month as a part of a competition giveaway to its customers. 


Pukpip debuted in January 2023 with its sights set on disrupting the ice cream category and snack market by tapping into the rise of permissible indulgence and frozen snacking with indulgent frozen fruit, whilst fighting food waste.


The brand upcycles perfectly imperfect bananas that are rejected from export due to them being the wrong shape or size, having small skin imperfections or simply because there are too many on a bunch. Pukpip then transforms the bananas into real fruit snacks with a chocolate twist. The products are already listed by Vegan Kind, Whole Foods Market and Ocado Retail and wholesalers, CLF.


Similarly, Earth & Wheat was set up to save food from being binned due to its odd shape, size, colour or because the item’s cosmetic specifications did not meet retailers’ standards. The Signature Flatbreads-owned brand introduced the world’s first wonky bread box more than three years ago before moving into other markets, including wonky and fresh vegetables.


Now Earth & Wheat has joined forces with Pukpip with a range of collaborations planned in 2024. Founder James Eid is also keen for the award-winning brand to join forces with other sustainable retailers looking to promote their products in his company’s wonky boxes.
